To symbolise the growing need for interconnectedness and mobility in between the metropolitan cities, Manifesta 15 has created a mobile structure designed by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), built by students from IAAC, which will host a programme linking the 11 metropolitan participating cities. Programmed by Manifesta 15 and the local municipalities, this nomadic travelling space, entitled the Manifesta 15 Mobile Venue, will be located in the main square of each municipality during their Focus Week, providing an open-air platform for various activities such as educational initiatives, Family Days, workshops, mediated tours, talks and performances.

The Manifesta 15 Mobile Venue also reflects the fundamental values that the biennial promotes, such as environmental responsibility in the eco-social transition by using sustainable, recycled materials. It also develops the concepts of mobility and decentralisation through its innovative design. This approach not only fulfils practical functions to connect the different cities, but also intends to actively involve residents in the cultural activities of their region
